Accommodation:
Once you are in Kampala you can choose from a number of first rate hotels for example the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Serena Hotel , Speke Hotel, and Speke Resort Munyonyo, Grand Imperial Hotel, Hotel Africana and Equatoria Hotel. All these offer 4-5 star services.

There are also several smaller hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs around the city and beyond that offer convenient and affordable accommodation if you are not in for the big hotels or prefer to be part of the everyday life in Uganda . For the free of spirit there are more than enough camp sites to suit your fancy.

Initially, most of the hotels in Uganda were under a government owned parastatal, Uganda Hotels Limited but all have been privatized. The Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry in its Integrated Tourism Development Master Plan, recognizes the need to create additional capacity, particularly in the National Parks.

With the Commonwealth Heads of Government summit being hosted in Uganda , the hotel industry has undergone a lot of transformation to raise standards and accommodate the traffic that will be in the country during the summit.
